Madera, Calif. (March 18, 2026)The Save Mart Companies, one of the West Coast’s largest regional full-service grocery chains, hosted a community celebration at the newly remodeled Save Mart store in Madera on Wednesday, March 18. Located at 1504 Howard Road, the updated store introduces a range of new amenities and expanded product offerings designed to enhance the shopping experience and the evolving needs of the local community.

Customers will now enjoy a full-service butcher block and seafood counter, an expanded service deli with convenient grab-and-go options, a refreshed bakery cake case, and an on-site florist. The store also features expanded selections of fresh produce, including prepared items such as fruit parfaits, guacamole, and salsa, along with a broader assortment of ready-to-drink beverages and beer. In response to the community’s preferences, the store has also expanded its selection of Hispanic food products across multiple departments.

“This store has been an important part of the Madera community for many years, and we’re proud to introduce these new upgrades and expanded services to make shopping easier and more enjoyable for our customers,” said Bobby McDowell, vice president of store operations at Save Mart. “We’re excited to celebrate alongside our neighbors and to continue serving this community for many years to come.”

To celebrate the remodel, Save Mart’s community celebration featured remarks from Save Mart team members and a special performance by the Madera South High School Pom Team. Mayor Cece Gallegos and other dignitaries attended the celebration. The festivities included a friendly “Battle of the Bags” competition between members of the Madera Police and Fire Departments, with all bagged groceries donated to a local food bank.

As part of its continued commitment to the community, The Save Mart Companies donated more than $2,500 in gift cards, food items, and products to support local high schools and nonprofit organizations.
