The Save Mart Companies Celebrates 34th Year as Title Sponsor of Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway

MODESTO, Calif. (June 29, 2026) – The Save Mart Companies (TSMC), one of the West Coast's largest regional, full-service grocery chains, celebrated its 34th year as title sponsor of Sonoma Raceway's NASCAR race weekend, including the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Cup Series and the Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250. One of the longest-running title sponsorships in NASCAR history, the partnership brought together race fans, shoppers, and team members for a weekend of family-friendly entertainment and interactive activations.

"The rich history of Sonoma Raceway, the Toyota/Save Mart 350, and The Save Mart Companies has been bonded for more than three decades in a partnership that brings our shoppers and team members the excitement you can only find at the track," said Jim Perkins, President and CEO of The Save Mart Companies. "This was a time to celebrate our team members — alongside their families — for all the hard work they contribute to the organization, and to welcome them to the tradition and energy of Sonoma."

Annually, The Save Mart Companies recognizes outstanding store managers through its prestigious Piccinini-Tocco Award. This year's winners included Kristy Picquette, Store Manager of Save Mart in Reedley; Ed Etienne, Store Manager of Lucky in San Jose; and Noah Clodfelter, Store Manager of FoodMaxx in Fresno. Each participated in a once-in-a-lifetime race-day experience: Clodfelter waved the green flag to start Saturday's Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250, Etienne rode in the official pace car for Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350, and Picquette waved the green flag for Sunday's race.

This year's race weekend also marked a significant milestone: FoodMaxx — the warehouse-style banner of The Save Mart Companies — celebrates its 40th anniversary this fall, making its title sponsorship of the Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250 a fitting tribute to four decades of serving value-focused shoppers across California.

In addition to on-track action, The Save Mart Companies hosted the annual Breaking Zone activation in the Fan Zone — featuring party games, racing simulations, photo opportunities, a charging station, and an exhibit celebrating the shared history of Sonoma Raceway alongside Save Mart, Lucky, and FoodMaxx.
