The high fire danger in and around the city of Grass Valley has put a wet blanket on the annual fireworks fundraiser of the Nevada Union High School Choir. However, the Save Mart store at 12054 Nevada City Highway in Grass Valley will help fill the gap by providing all the ingredients and supplies for a root beer float fundraiser. The choir will sell root beer floats in the Save Mart parking lot on Saturday, July 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Direct donations to the choir fund will also be accepted.
