Jim Thatcher is the Senior Vice President of Retail Operations for The Save Mart Companies. Reporting to Jim Perkins, President & Chief Executive Officer, Jim oversees all aspects of store operations, central operations and risk management. In his role, he’s focused on driving store sales, enhanced customer service, shrink mitigation and other key operations goals. 

Jim's career highlights include over four decades of leadership experience in retail, wholesale, and consumer goods. He has built a reputation as a transformative force in some of the nation's largest and most complex retail organizations. Having held titles ranging from President and COO to Vice President across companies such as Albertsons, Fleming Foods, Winn-Dixie, Navarro Discount Pharmacies, and Kings & Balducci's, he has overseen operations generating billions in annual revenue and led teams of thousands of associates across multiple states and divisions. Jim is also President and CEO of JCT Business Solutions - a consulting company that primarily serves retail, wholesale, CPG’s and Private Equity firms. 

Known for his ability to drive top-line growth, execute turnarounds, and deliver measurable improvements to the bottom line, he has a strong track record in merchandise management, supply chain optimization, and strategic expansion — including acquisitions, remodels, and market entries.
