Thousands of first timers and returnees tried their luck fishing at Chico’s 32nd annual Hooked on Fishing-Not On Drugs event.
Save Mart sponsored the event and handed out reusable grocery bags. The kids enjoyed the bags and used them to carry their fishing equipment.
“Hooked on Fishing is a great way to spend the day with family and friends,” expressed Chico Save Mart store manager George Zepeda. “We are committed to helping our local community and love supporting organizations and events that have a positive impact!”
This free event provides children and their families the opportunity to learn how to fish. Kids are provided with loaner fishing poles, bait, free fish cleaning, volunteer fishing experts onsite, and the opportunity to take home one fish. There’s no better way to get kids involved in fishing and away from drugs.
