Save Mart continues to nourish the communities their stores serve through The Save Mart Companies C.A.R.E.S. Foundation. Victoria Castro, Public Affairs Manager for The Save Mart Companies, presented a C.A.R.E.S.check of over $3,000 to the Sacramento Children’s Museum (SCM) to support the Save Mart sponsored Leo’s Market exhibit.

Leo’s Market is a child-sized supermarket exhibit that offers children a fun, role-playing experience and helps them develop knowledge about nutrition, sorting, measuring, counting, and cooperation. Children can sort fruits and vegetables, stock shelves, and help others check out at the cash register while playing. Items in the supermarket include locally grown foods as well as culturally diverse foods from around the world.

With a vision of learning through interactivity, SCM seeks to build an environment in which learning is exciting and enriching for children and their families and facilitated through exploration and hands-on activities. SCM engages children and families in meaningful discovery experiences that instills appreciation for our community, develop fundamental skills, and spark a life-long love of learning.
