Modesto, Calif., September 10, 2012 – FoodMaxx’s loyal shoppers have experienced up close and personal what goes into a remodel and now that it has been completed, we hope they will come celebrate their “new” store with us. The grand re-opening is this Wednesday, September 12 starting at 9:00 am. Ribbon cutting is at 9:30 and refreshments will be served; customers can chat with store manager, Jeremy Bryant, and leadership from the corporate office. FoodMaxx will present a $1,000 check to the Unity Care Group, a company tradition every time a store is opened, converted, or remodeled.

Also making an appearance will be Save Mart’s giant shopping cart, Big Red. Built exclusively for Save Mart/Lucky/FoodMaxx, the cart is 12′ 6″ tall, 8’3″ wide and 11′ long and weighs 3000 lbs.

The revamped store, located at 1539 Parkmoor Avenue, has reconfigured the layout to provide an open and simple shopping experience with easy in and out access. Along with full serve checkstands, self check-out lanes have been added for those who prefer to do it themselves. New cases have been added to the extended meat department, and the bakery has been expanded and relocated to a new area. High shelving has been removed and replaced with lower conventional shelves. New paint has brightened up the store as have new sky lights.

What hasn’t changed is FoodMaxx’s focus on having the lowest prices in town. Customers will still find a variety of high quality products that are now displayed to combine the best of a traditional grocery store with maximum savings. Save Mart is hopeful this new format will better meet our customer’s shopping needs and we hope our customers are pleased.
