New Modesto Save Mart, located at the corner of Oakdale and Sylvan, partnered with Empire 4H Garden Club and hosted a special farmers market outside the store!
Empire 4H set up tables full of plants and planter boxes that club members harvested themselves. Plants included herbs like cilantro and flowers like roses and succulents, among many others. Customers, and even some Save Mart team members, lined up to purchase the plants!
Save Mart partnership with Empire 4H Garden began in October when the store opened. Save Mart featured raised garden beds in its outdoor seating area that the Empire 4H Garden and Kiernan Klovers 4H Horticulture clubs maintain—flowers in the winter and produce in the summer.
