The Save Mart Companies’ new Volunteer Time Off policy allows many employees to support causes they care about while getting paid. We’ve already seen the manhours make an impact on local communities during the holidays:

L-R Fresno & Clovis: Jorge Benitez, Ryan Ramos, Virgil Smith, ,Jon Michael Carrol, Gilbert Flores & Bennett Lee
L-R: Chris Derosa (Reno) & Carl Lindville (Truckee)

Fresno and Reno-area Store Managers worked as a group to bag produce and help their local food banks distribute them at fresh mobile sitea a few days before Christmas.

  • Merced-area managers braved a food bank’s cold warehouse to sort food for families in-need.
  • Store Managers in the Foothills helped with traffic control, as a local casino gave out food boxes and gifts in Roseville.
  • Several Central Valley managers individually helped to lay wreaths at the grave site of fallen soldiers, fundraise at a book fair and give out toys.

We can’t wait to bring our labor of love to more causes in 2018!
