Modesto, Calif., January 22, 2013 – FoodMaxx debuts its first store in Vallejo, giving “Lucky” customers familiar surroundings but with low “warehouse” discount prices.  With new paint, new signage and shelving, easy in and out access, a choice of self check out or manned register, and great pricing, we hope our customers are pleased.  FoodMaxx is known for having the lowest prices in town and this will be a new shopping experience for Vallejo customers.

The new FoodMaxx is located at 1740 Tuolumne, Vallejo.  The grand opening will take place this Wednesday, January 23 at 8:00 am, with ribbon cutting at 8:45.  Refreshments will be served and customers can meet new store manager, Derick Amado, and both Save Mart and FoodMaxx supervision.  Vallejo city officials will be in attendance, with some welcoming comments from Mayor Osby Davis.

Also making an appearance will be Save Mart’s motorized shopping cart, Big Red. Built exclusively for Save Mart/Lucky, the cart is 12′ 6″ tall, 8’3″ wide and 11′ long and weighs 3000 lbs. (See picture below) Photo opportunities available

FoodMaxx will be presenting a $1,000 check to the The Wright Touch, a non-profit organization that provides warm meals and groceries to local needy families, employment assistance, and companionship for elderly persons without family.
