Sacramento FoodMaxx, located on Florin Road, adopted Pacific Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year. To celebrate this partnership, the store hosted a supermarket sweep to provide healthy snacks for their after school programs.

After School Program Manager, BoMie Pae, represented the Pacific Elementary and raced down the aisles, grabbing as many healthy snacks as she could in three minutes.  When the time was up, BoMie was able to get over $660 worth of snacks for Pacific’s after school program! Snacks included oranges, apples, granola, crackers, juice boxes, and cookies.

Annually, each FoodMaxx store selects a neighboring elementary school through the company’s Adopt-a-School program. Throughout the year, the store supports the school with food, books and other resources, bringing their commitment to ‘Nourishing Communities’ in full circle.
