MODESTO, Calif. (June 26, 2020) – Save Mart announced today that its newest store, located in Redding, California, will officially open on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Located at 4631 Churn Creek Road and currently in the final stages of construction, the 50,000-square-foot outlet will combine Save Mart’s values of home, food, and family while celebrating Redding’s community, local suppliers, and the best California has to offer. The store will also incorporate new safety elements to protect guests and team members amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

“Just in time for summer, we’re thrilled to bring a brand-new store with our value products and signature experiences to a core area of the North State,” said Hal Levitt, senior vice president of retail operations at The Save Mart Companies.

Save Mart’s fundamental values will be front and center in the new location, including the freshest food, taking care of family on a budget, appreciating agricultural roots, and providing a host of convenient options for families on the go. The new location will also continue the Save Mart traditions of hiring from the community and supporting local producers, including area purveyors such as Clear Creek Soap, The Olive Pit, Fall River Brewing and Churn Creek Meadow Organic Farm, among many others.

The Redding store will feature a wide range of signature experiences and tried-and-true favorites such as an ice cream counter for family fun at a great value. The Tipping Point, Save Mart’s in-store restaurant will offer casual, inviting dining at the indoor and outdoor garden seating, to socialize and relax while enjoying delicious food. Among the restaurant’s signature offerings will be tri-tip grilled to perfection and served several ways including, loaded nachos, Ciabatta sandwich, burrito, tacos or salad, along with locally sourced beer and wine. The Valley Fresh Produce Stand will showcase Save Mart’s agricultural expertise and provide juice and fresh cut fruit and vegetables, while the store’s Meat and Seafood Central will offer spice and marinade options and flavorful grilled-to-order meats.

To protect everyone in the store, Save Mart will incorporate health-conscious design elements, including antimicrobial check-stand conveyor belts, and protective Plexiglas barriers between team members at check stands and customers and at bakery, meat, seafood and deli service counters. Hand sanitizer will be amply available throughout the store. The Redding location will also be the first to add sliding barriers behind each check stand, providing protection on all sides.
