Fresno Save Mart store manager, Vigil Smith, presented a $5,000 C.A.R.E.S. Foundation grant to Care Fresno.

Care Fresno is a non-profit organization that gives back to the community by offering direct services that improve physical, mental, emotional and cognitive development in Fresno. Through Care Fresno, youth increase math and literally skills and gain the confidence to finish their schooling which leads to a life of self-fulfillment and awareness.

Care Fresno is a first time recipient of a Save Mart C.A.R.E.S. Foundation grant which will be used for their Care About Fresno Youth program. Care About Fresno Youth program aims to minimize the dangers of partaking in gang related activity, vandalism, crime, drugs and other destructive behaviors by providing a safe place between school and home life.

 

CARES stands for Community, Arts, Recreation, Education and Sports and focuses on improving lives under these categories. The Save Mart Companies C.A.R.E.S.
