Lodi S-Mart had a great time sponsoring and taking part in the annual 2019 Lodi Ag Venture event on March 7th.
Thousands of curious students and their chaperones roamed around the event grounds as they learned about the agricultural history of the region. Save Mart’s booth allowed the students to sample sweet apples and juicy pears while store team members had the opportunity to share some knowledge of agriculture, healthy eating habits and their passion for produce.
Ag Venture is San Joaquin County’s program for 3rd graders where they learn about the growing and processing of commodities. Students have the opportunity to see and touch farm animals and experience farm equipment first hand all while learning about locally grown food and nutrition.
