(Modesto, Calif.) – Save Mart Supermarkets announced today that its corporate name has been changed to The Save Mart Companies, effective immediately. Consumers know the company as their local grocery store, operating under the store names of Save Mart, Lucky, Lucky California, FoodMaxx, S-Mart, and MaxxValue. Besides providing a clear distinction between its Save Mart stores and the parent company, the new company name better represents the collective strength of the corporate entity.

In addition to its retail operations, The Save Mart Companies owns and operates three distribution centers and SMART Refrigerated Transport, which delivers goods to the entire family of 205 stores throughout California and Northern Nevada. The Save Mart Companies is a partner in Super Store Industries, which operates a distribution center in Lathrop and the Sunnyside Farms Dairies in Fairfield and Turlock, which produce fluid milk, ice cream and various dairy bi-products distributed under the Sunnyside Farms brand.

The new corporate name comes with its own logo (shown above) and website, www.TheSaveMartCompanies.com, which will launch July 15.
