It’s that time of year when our local food banks are running low on donations. The Save Mart Companies annual Peanut Butter Roundup aims to help re-stock local food bank shelves with peanut butter donations.

To give the campaign a boost, FoodMaxx customers will be offered a special peanut butter sale. Sunny Select, Jif, Skippy and Adams peanut butter will be on sale at as low as $1.99 a jar!

Save Mart and Lucky customers will be offered a Buy One/Give One promotion, making it easy for you to participate. New this year, Sunny Select peanut butter is also available under this promotion. Similar quality at lower prices.  Every time you buy one jar of Sunny Select, Jif or Adams peanut butter, you get another one of the same brand free to donate! For the second year in a row, the “roundup” feature will also be made available at Save Mart and Lucky cash registers. You can roundup your grocery tab, and 100% of the change will benefit local food banks. Nearly $10,000 was collected in 2017.

Last year, our stores collectively received ten tons of peanut butter, enough to make more than a quarter-million sandwiches.

The Peanut Butter Roundup is meant to raise awareness of the struggles many families experience during the summer break when their kids do not have access to school meals. Peanut Butter makes for a perfect donation because it’s high in protein, shelf-stable and kids enjoy it.

Help spread the love by telling your family and friends to participate! Post pictures about donations on social media by using the hashtag #PeanutButterRoundup to help build momentum for the event.
