Students from Kirschen Elementary got a surprise when they arrived at school today. The Save Mart Companies participated in Love Modesto this past weekend, and their project was to give the kids’ cafeteria a “refresh.”
About 20 employees and family members, including CEO Nicole Pesco, gave the inside and out a fresh coat of paint and gave the tables a good cleaning.
Love Modesto started in 2009 with a one basic question: What would happen if the entire community came together? They would give more than $7 million in service to people and organizations in need.
In addition to the volunteer work, Save Mart gave away healthy snacks at the kick-off rally in Downtown Modesto. As a hometown company, The Save Mart companies is proud to be part of such a beautiful community event.
