MODESTO, Calif. – December 22, 2023 — This holiday season, The Save Mart Companies’ store support associates participated in the 2023 Toys for Tots campaign, generously donating nearly 100 new toys that will be gifted to children in Stanislaus County to help make their holiday brighter.
“The need for toy donations has increased exponentially in recent years so we are grateful for those donated by The Save Mart Companies,” said Edith Bael, Toys for Tots Turlock campaign coordinator.

The primary goal of the Marine Corp Reserve Toys for Tots program is to bring the joy of Christmas and a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children through the gift of a new toy. Toys for Tots began in 1947 under the direction of Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks but his wife, Diane, was the true inspiration.
