Turtle Bay Elementary School celebrated back-to-school with a supermarkets sweep hosted by the Redding FoodMaxx located on Churn Creek Road.
FoodMaxx has adopted Turtle Bay Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year. To celebrate this partnership, the store hosted a supermarket sweep to provide healthy snacks for its after school programs
School representatives had the opportunity to race down the aisles to grab as many healthy snacks for their after school programs. All product in the shopping cart was then donated to the school.
Annually, each FoodMaxx store selects a neighboring elementary school through the company’s Adopt-a-School program. Throughout the year, the store supports the school with food, books and resources, bringing their commitment to ‘Nourishing Communities’ in full circle.
