Save Mart, Lucky, FoodMaxx, Maxx Value and S-Mart shoppers can donate to the Red Cross’ typhoon relief efforts at checkout

Modesto, Calif.—The Save Mart family of stores is making it easy for shoppers to donate to Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts in the Philippines by collecting donations for the American Red Cross right at check out.

“We know that people want to help with the typhoon relief efforts, but may not know how or where. We have made donating to the disaster relief efforts as easy as scanning an item at checkout,” explained Steve Junqueiro, President and Chief Operating Officer of Save Mart Supermarkets.  “All donations collected in the Save Mart family of stores will be given directly to the American Red Cross for their use in the recovery efforts in the Philippines.”
